Snow by Loreena McKennitt

This song was my introduction to Loreena McKennitt's music. I first heard it years ago when we were in Fairbanks. We have bought a lot of her music through the years and I love it, but this remains my favourite of her songs.

Lovely music
We enjoy Christmas even in Florida. Mother was born on Christmas…glad she had her own birthday I used to tell her and not on the Lord’s Christmas birthday…although the 25 th is not exact date…a time when the world comes together and even one time stopped the fighting in the war…glad you enjoy it too.l.

I particularly like the way things get really quiet here. My best memories of Christmases in Ireland is walking around on Christmas Eve in the dark and usually mizzle or rain, looking at the lights and feeling so peaceful. There is usually no one else around.

I think so too. She's great!

I love this genre of music and how soulful and lyrical it is. It's also nice to hear all of the instruments uncommon to what we would normally come across (in the US). In college I used to be a personal assistant of a famous ocarina player and work with she and her group of musicians. It was wonderful and I so appreciated how they let me add thoughts to some of what they were producing in the studio. That level of creativity flowing through a group is something extremely special. I'm sure this singer/musician has a similar experience with the people she collaborates with.
