Something for Everyone

It's finally feeling autumnal here--such a relief! Today we had heavy rain, sun, howling wind, and rainbows. Happy October!

Two rainbows even!!! We had one when we got married - they said it brings luck :-)
It was in the middle of summer in Australia, so a rainbow was really special. Sadly I have no pic (and you don´t bring a cam to your own wedding, right ;-)...)

Thank you all! I love looking at the sky, which is usually very changeable here.

Cool that you and Ingo had a rainbow for your wedding, Iris! You don't have a pic, but you have the beautiful memory!

Ooh nice. I agree with the other comments.

Sigh... so nice to see 'some weather'. It actually is so relieving even in a kind of de-stressing sort of way. Like negative ion refreshing.

We had maybe the worst (most wonderful) heavy thunder and lightening storm I'd ever seen since I moved here, a few days ago. There are pictures of super intense lightening storms online. It even came with a little rain, not near enough but certainly grateful for it all! (I guess some people's stuff got hit/blown-up so they probably didn't enjoy it that much.) I'd add pictures to share in-kind, but the system doesn't let us.

For a PNW girl it was surprising even to me to see such broad strikes with 3-4 forks/branches moving across the sky and hitting the ground all at once. When I heard it getting louder/closer I was like, oh wait we have petrol washing up on the beach, uhhh. Thankfully the beach / ocean didn't catch fire.

Do you get the storms like that there? I don't remember having any lightening storms where I was in N EU.

No, I don't recall any lightning storms here. We get thunder once in a great while and sometimes we're told there's a chance of T-storms, but I haven't seen any!

That's good, it's too dangerous anyway. I've been hit by it in my car in a horrible rain storm in full traffic. It's a wonder I survived that one. My apt was hit by it and it knocked-out my electronics etc... I hope you never see it there!
