Wow! I love learning new things and that is definitely something I didn't know. Next year I may buy a Rutabaga instead of a Pumpkin :)

The first year we were in Ireland, I listened to a show on the radio about what Halloween used to be like. Many elders were interviewed about how it was when they were children--it was very different and not as commercialized back then. One elder commented, 'We gave Halloween to the Americans and they sold it back to us.' LOL
