Wednesday Wow :-)
Walking back from the recycling centre, I noticed these flowers and stopped for a moment to admire them. There is almost nothing I like about summer, but the flowers are an exception.
Beautiful. So glad btw we have at least (in theory) paper, plastic, bio and trash right in front of the house, as everybody here. Usually I just have to you for glass-bottles to the center.
Yup, that's what we brought--glass. It's about a mile away and a nice walk. We usually see some critters--dogs, goats, sheep, donkeys, etc. Not too many this time, though.
Dear Shari, It's wonderful that the summer ultimately has something to offer that you like :-)). This bright pink wild rose is really a beauty! (And definitely a fine bee pasture!) Thank you for your recovery wishes to Brigitte and my husband - they are both better again. At last we worried about our cat Maxwell, but after the vet put him on a stomach diet, our old boy (17 years old) is also doing better. All the best, Traude https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2021/07/auf-ins-hochgebirge-ausflug-auf-die-rax.html
I do love the colour, Jan. When I was a kid and we used to make small pottery things in art class, I always chose that colour for the glaze. :-) Now I'd be more likely to choose deep jewel tones, but not sure if those were available at the time--it was a long time ago now!
Dear Shari, So nice of you that you also thought of our cat Maxwell in your comment! If you feel like it, you can see all of our cats (including our daughter's three) in my current post. I hope you are fine - what are the temperatures in Ireland at the moment? Happy weekend, Traude https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2021/07/katzengeschichten-und-gartenbilder.html
Traude¬¬It is hot! 30ish with little to no breeze and bright sunshine! We went for an overnight excursion yesterday and I actually got a bit red and have tan lines on my feet from my hiking sandals and my wrist from my watch! Definitely not me--usually when it's hot and sunny like this, I hide indoors! And people are all commenting on the heat and how it is a bit too much, so I am not alone in my discomfort. Looking forward to the change next week when it will be cooler and we might get some rain! I will be reading your post and seeing the kitties very shortly! Enjoy your weekend!
