Thursday Thought...

 from a wise man:

"All of us know that our beautiful green planet is in danger. Our way of walking on the Earth has a great influence on animals and plants. Yet we act as if our daily lives have nothing to do with the condition of the world. We are like sleepwalkers, not knowing what we are doing or where we are heading. The future of all life, including our own, depends on our mindful steps. We have to hear the bells of mindfulness that are sounding all across our planet. We have to start learning how to live in a way that a future will be possible for our children and our grandchildren."

True words, and it´s ... no, it could be easy to do better.
Why was I forced to work 16 years in Wolfsburg just to meet an IT´ler from Wolfsburg working in Braunschweig. All the driving. All the packaging in the stores,... Once I bought a bag. And was asked if I want a plastic bag for that. I´m not even kidding.

That's crazy about the bag, Iris! One thing that we notice right away when we got to Ireland was the absence of plastic bags hanging from bushes and blowing down the street as was common in the US. We learned that they'd implemented a bag tax (22 cents per bag) and people rarely use them.
