Happy Halloween

Hope you have a sweet and spooky Halloween 🎃

Jack o' lanterns used to be carved from turnips. This one is in the National Museum of Ireland in Castlebar, Co Mayo.

I've heard about these carved turnips, but have never seen one. They are even spookier than pumpkins. Hope it was a great Halloween-Happy November.

That's so neat! I saw a lot of things that looked like that in museaums in Mexico but I don't think any of them were made from a potatoe :)

I have seen them carved from turnips, but not for a long time. This one looks exceptionally scary.

i always think the turnips are much more creepy than pumpkins, which aren't much of a thing here, except for a couple weeks in October. Happy November everyone!
