Picking Up Where We Left Off

We have revisited our roles as humble servants and professional dogball players. We're caring for the furry boss man once again, this time in his own neighborhood. He wasted no time in making it clear where we were to begin our duties.
Let the games begin!

I certainly hope that you realize the extent of your responsibilities as a handmaid to canine aristocracy. If he wants to play ball then you had better be ready. Limber up with some throwing exercises. Get ready for endless hurling, with an appropriate stream of “Good boys” when he brings the ball back to be launched anew. At least the rules of the game are simple!

Ah, David--throwing is only part of our responsibilities! There is also kicking involved. And bouncing. He often won't let us actually pick up the ball because he wants us to kick it. When it's time for something different, there's tug o' war with Snowflake, the poor stuffed bunny. That's just the indoor recreation portion of the program. The dietary requirements and proper meal services are a whole other set of duties. However, he has trained us well and we do indeed take our responsibilities seriously. ;-) He has definitely been brought up to expect to be treated like the aristocracy!
