After breakfast yesterday, I headed out to the library. I had my crochet project with me because I was going to the first meeting of the knitting and crochet group. Earlier in the week, a friend gave me some gorgeous sock yarn, so I knew I would be making socks, but went back and forth about whether to knit them or crochet them. In the end, crochet won out. I started them Wednesday night and got past the toe increases so all I'd be doing at the meeting was crocheting around and around--no counting necessary.

After I got home, I was checking the BorrowBox site to see if any new audiobooks came in and I was in luck there, too. There's a new Agatha Christie collection of short stories set in Devon called Country Christie. It was available. Also, Fly, Wild Swans by Jung Chang. I read Wild Swans a while back and loved it. This memoir picks up where that one left off. It was also available. I got them both.

Have you read Fromm’s “The Art of Loving”? It was our main text in Psych 101 many years ago. If not, maybe you can induce the library to obtain it, and convince them that it is intended to be picked up only when freshly made tea and squares of chocolate are dispensed to avid patrons. It only seems right to me. The crochet work can take a break for a couple of hours. Perhaps at the next meeting more of the group will attend and hooks will be clacking, needles clicking, tongues wagging and, yes, more tea and chocolate will need to be served. I might join the group myself!
I've not read any Fromm before. He was referred to in a book I read a couple weeks ago and I was intrigued. The book group also involves chocolate, David, so perhaps that one would be more to your liking. 😉😏
