My reactions aren't as extreme as yours, but all those scented things, esp. laundry products, do give me headaches. It really got cute when I was working as a Park Ranger; you need everything to be unscented because strong odors attract bears. Some of those artificial scents get them downright curious, as one ranger found out when she hung her scented laundry out.
