Choosing

Today's Daily Dharma email from Tricycle:

Every day when we wake up, we have a choice. Will we choose fear or will we choose compassion and love?

I try to choose compassion and love over fear every day!

Very timely. Probably always timely. Yesterday, on a podcast on 1A, a caller asserted that low-skilled workers---fast food, retail---had no right to a living wage. What? Unfortunately, the caller wasn't questioned. Son of a biscuit!

Me, too, Vicki, even though sometimes it's hard to choose the better path.

Isn't it interesting how so many people doing jobs the world could get along just fine without--hedge fund managers, baseball players, etc--get ridiculously high pay while people who bring us the very things that keep us alive get paid like crap? :-(

I could not have said it better-I remember being appalled at the salary of a football coach at a college in a small state. Really? Guess that is the way it is. I am glad, at an older age, a fulfilled my dream-after forty years-of becoming a teacher. Now that I am really old, I miss it so much.
