An Afternoon in Mountcharles

We had to go to Mountcharles (pronounced mount-char-less) this afternoon because Bill had an appointment. The appointment itself took only about 20 minutes, but was scheduled right in the middle of the time we had there, so we walked one way, turned around and came back to the main part of the village, Bill had his appointment and then we walked around some more.

Here are some things that caught my eye.
nice door knocker

Need fish? Call Seamus!

closed today, but I'm good for fish, so didn't call Seamus

cottage hidden away in the back

view from the hill

future yarn
cute cottage

from the front

lots growing on this tree
I love the abstract patterns of bare tree branches against the sky

fairy tree?

a Homer fan lives here, perhaps

choose your door colour
curious

slow down
It was a nice afternoon. We've been through Mountcharles many times on the bus, but this was the first time I've been 'on the ground.' The wee village itself is kind of sad with lots of vacant buildings, but the countryside is beautiful!

Hi Shari-I LOVE the pictures from your walk-about. That is a cute little cottage tucked away there behind the other two places. I smiled big when I read the "future yarn" picture. lol Have a wonderful week. xo Diana
